CounselArc is built around a simple rule: a student's record belongs to the student. What parents see, what schools see, what the AI sees — all governed by explicit permission.

Private by default

Every experience, reflection, and matrix is private until explicitly shared. Profiles are not indexed by search engines until a student publishes one.

13+ only, verified at signup

CounselArc is for high-school students aged 13 and older. We collect date of birth at signup and decline accounts for anyone younger — with zero data retained from rejected attempts.

No third-party training

We do not sell data, do not share with advertisers, and do not use student content to train third-party models. Model providers are configured under zero-retention agreements.

Written in plain English, signed by the team.

We will not sell or share student data with advertising or marketing partners, ever.
We will not use a student's private content to train third-party AI models. Model providers operate under zero-retention agreements.
We will honor a full data export request within 30 days, in machine-readable JSON and human-readable PDF.
We will honor a full account deletion request within 30 days, retaining only aggregated, anonymized audit logs.
We will notify users within 72 hours of any confirmed data incident that affects their account.
We will post any material change to this policy with at least 30 days notice and a plain-English summary.
